Does the current populist turn signal the end of the cosmopolitan dream of a post-nationalist Europe? What are possible visions of a more cooperative, transparent and, at the same time, stronger and more secure continent?

This conference has a double-fold aim: 1) to brainstorm possible solutions to current challenges; 2) to initiate a forum for renewal of European democracy that includes a broad dialogue between scholars, politicians, civil society and the media.
