Caroline Ljøner Hagen is a lecturer at Bjørknes University College. She has previously worked in the foreign aid sector in Malawi, and been employed in Kenya through FK Norway (the Norwegian Peace Corps), working with youth and women´s rights. Her areas of expertise are human hights, in particular women´s, minority and children’s rights and development studies. Her geographical focus is mainly Southern- and Eastern Africa.

Caroline holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and a Bachleor’s degree in Sociology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She also studied International Relations at Bond University in Australia and one year of French studies from the University of Oslo.
